And Keith Beecham, chief executive of Visit Jersey, has warned that holidaymakers may start considering other destinations instead of the Island if Condor’s reliability issues continue.
It follows a weekend during which the ferry operator suffered technical problems with both its Liberation and Clipper vessels, causing delays for hundreds of passengers.
Dozens of people were stranded on board the Clipper for more than 12 hours on Saturday as a result of problems with its ramp, and passengers were given the option to leave the boat while the ramp was lowered using a crane brought in from London but many whose cars could not be driven off the boat chose to stay on board.
