The charity Christians Together in Jersey Housing Trust has applied for permission to demolish 1-2 Minden Place – previously Scope furniture and currently the base for Price Attack Superstore and vintage shop Hall’s Interiors – in order to create social housing.
According to the plans, each unit would have a large balcony with storage and there would be a small shared courtyard garden on the first floor of the development.
Prior to the site being bought research was carried out which found that there was no demand for a large retail unit in that part of St Helier, the plans say.
