Thai murder appeal?

Burmese men Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo were found guilty of two counts of murder on Christmas Eve after they attacked and killed Mr Miller (24) and Norfolk-born Hannah Witheridge (23) on the island of Koh Tao on 15 September 2014. They were both also convicted of raping Miss Witheridge.

The men were sentenced to death for their crimes by the Koh Samui Court.

After the sentencing, defence lawyers and activists vowed to fight the decision and said they intended to lodge an appeal within the 30-day deadline, which expired on Saturday 23 January. They now have until Wednesday 24 February to appeal against the verdict.
