Adrian disappearance: Belief in ‘misadventure’ grows

This week a senior investigating officer adviser and missing-persons adviser from the National Crime Agency have conducted a peer review of the States police’s investigation after Mr Lynch disappeared on the night of 4 December.

In a statement released on Friday, the States police said: ‘Feedback received from UK colleagues has been encouraging and they are in agreement with the belief that Adrian’s disappearance is due to misadventure and not down to the involvement of a third party, although officers continue to maintain an open mind, as they have done from the outset.’

Mr Lynch (20) was last seen on CCTV walking south past Thistle Grove commercial estate at 2.17 on 5 December.
