It’s back! Burger King could return to the Island in the next few months

Retail group Sandpiper CI have struck a deal with the major franchise, which plans to occupy part of International House at the Parade, the current home of the Fabric Factory, which is due to move at the end of the month.

The chain restaurant is also hoping to open a store in Guernsey later this year if suitable sites are found.

Plans, which include alfresco seating at the site, have been submitted and are due to be determined in the coming months.

Approval will mark a return to Jersey for the fast food giant, which once operated two Burger King outlets in the Island – one at Les Quennevais Precinct and one next to West’s Centre.

If the proposed 60-seater restaurant is approved, business leaders hope to complete staff recruitment and training in time for opening in late spring.
