Halkett Place Evangelical Church was reopened in February for the first time in more than a decade after being taken over by the Christian Portuguese Mission, which has been allowed to use the historic building in exchange for refurbishing it.

The trustees of the church, which closed its doors ten years ago after its glass dome began to collapse and congregation numbers dwindled, have submitted a planning application to enable the next phase of the refurbishment.
