Negotiators were deployed to the scene and spoke to the man for up to 40 minutes before he gave himself up. He was taken to hospital as a precaution following concerns for his health as he had been immersed in water. It is understood he has since been discharged and is now in police custody.
Two other people – a 31-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man – were arrested at separate addresses in St Helier in the early hours of yesterday.
