In September last year, it was announced that there would be a shake-up of GCSE exams in England.

And Jersey’s Education department have announced plans to adopt the new system from September 2015.

Under the new system, GCSEs will be full two-year courses with assessment at the end of the two years as opposed to being divided into modules.

The new system aims to phase out coursework with exams being the preferred method of assessment.
