Warning on Health spending increase
Joly Dixon, who chairs the Fiscal Policy Panel, said that there were 'some very large growths in expenditure' in parts of the social security system with health spending also rising rapidly.
But at the same time, he said that there was no great willingness to raise new revenue to pay for the extra public spending.
Mr Dixon, who has chaired the panel since it was set up in 2007, spoke to members of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce while visting the Island last week.
Afterwards he told the JEP that he had some concerns about growth in public spending.
