He said that there would be both an internal assessment of the Island’s secondary education system and an external analysis of future policy on recruitment and retention of teaching staff.
He added that the Island’s education system and its structure needed to be a major debating point for the next election, and gave an undertaking to ensure that the results of the investigations would be available before then.
