The 22-year-old and doubles partner Heather Olver, the top seeds, suffered a 12-21, 21-12, 21-15 defeat to Denmark’s Maria Hesbol and Anne Skelbae, seeded fifth, in the final of the Irish International Badminton Championship.
It was their second three set encounter after coming through the quarter-final 21-13, 14-21, 21-18 against another Danish pair, Amalie Fangel and Karina Sorensen.
