New man at the top of the Co-op

News | Published:

THE Channel Islands Co-operative Society has named its current head of retail operations, Colin Macleod, as its new chief executive.

He will succeed Jim Hopley, who is due to retire in January. And the successor to Mr Macleod will be Mark Cox, who is currently a director of the company that owns the rival Checkers supermarkets.

Mr Cox will start in his new role as chief operating officer at the Co-op next week when he moves from the Sandpiper Group, where he was director of store operations.
