Trust merger

TWO Jersey trust businesses have announced their merger.

Trustcorp, which has its offices at Heron House near the Airport, has agreed a deal with the management of the trust operation of Ansbacher Jersey.

The combined company, named Trustcorp (Jersey) Ltd, brings together all 33 staff from Ansbacher and 13 from Trustcorp under a team of four directors. They are Michael Kenney-Herbert and David Hill of Trustcorp, and Elizabeth Dulake and James Howe from Ansbacher Trustees.

Trustcorp, which also has a small office in Switzerland, has been in business since 1999 and was formed out of Ermitage Trustees. Ansbacher has been incorporated in the Island since 1973 and was part of the FirstRand Group before it was acquired by the Qatar National Bank in 2004. The deal does not include Ansbacher’s banking operation in Jersey and Guernsey.
