Rotary founder to stand for town Deputy

News | Published:

A FOUNDER member of the Rotary Club de la Manche, David Beuzeval, has announced that he is standing as a Deputy in St Helier No 3/4.

The 61-year-old, who lives in the district, works at the reception at the States offices in Cyril Le Marquand House, and is taking advantage of new rules allowing some States employees to stand for the States.

Mr Beuzeval used to run Beuzeval's toy shop, and also worked at Harrods in London, and the Channel Islands Wholesale Group, Besco Services and Securicor.

He is the son of Madge Hayes, a well-known parish figure who was the first woman to be elected to the St Helier Community Services Board.
