Senator Philip Ozouf said that although tourist figures would be about the same on that day as they are on the second Thursday in August, when the parade is traditionally held, moving it to a Sunday would allow more working Islanders to attend.
‘Clearly this could not be considered for 2008 but it deserves proper consideration for 2009,’ said the minister.
