Economic Development Minister Philip Ozouf is seeking advice about new legislation to allow Jersey to tap into a market worth ‘billions and billions’.
A public consultation exercise was launched today on the modernisation and expansion of Jersey’s intellectual property laws. Such laws govern the legal rights over material created from an idea or invention.
Senator Ozouf said that he hoped the laws would give companies involved in the intellectual property market the protection they were looking for in a well-regulated jurisdiction.
