The Youth Enquiry Service (YES) is an informative website and booklet for young people and in January a shop will also be opening at the La Motte Street Youth Centre to complement it as ‘a Citizens Advice Bureau for young people’. A wide range of people, including a number of States Members, watched a specially commissioned performance by the Gibber Theatre Company at the centre yesterday as part of the launch. The company, from the north-east of England, will be touring the Island’s schools, colleges and youth centres this week to promote the new service. In their performance, Gibber take a fun look at modern teenage life, with three young people competing to win the reality TV show Celebrity Life Swap, armed only with their copy of the YES booklet.
