Weakest Link: A challenge to Islanders

Producers of the hit TV quiz show ‘The Weakest Link’ are looking for Islanders who want to appear in the next series. They are encouraging Jersey people to send in an application for the show – and if enough are received they will come to the Island to hold auditions. James Neenan, who is currently working on Series 9, has already set up a group on the social network website Facebook, encouraging Islanders to apply for the show. ‘Basically we want lots of applications from Jersey so that we can justify coming over to hold some auditions,’ he said. ‘We really do want to come over and hold these auditions soon, so the more quickly people return their forms to us the better.’ Mr Neenan said that there were no requirements other than that all applicants should be over 18 and willing to face Anne Robinson for the chance to win up to £10,000. There is no limit to the number of contestants who could be chosen from the Island.
