Organiser Warren Le Sueur has announced that ITV2 has agreed to screen highlights of the two-day festival on Friday 14 September. It will be viewed all over Britain, allowing some to re-live Jersey Live and others to realise what they missed. Organisers have made a number of other announcements this week, most importantly that, contrary to popular belief, tickets have not yet sold out. Weekend tickets, priced £74, and day passes for Sunday can now be bought from the Jersey Telecom shop on Kings Street – and some Saturday tickets have recently come on the market. Mr Le Sueur was keen to point out that, as well as dozens of quality bands, the festival will have 14 food stalls and Le Quesne’s Pharmacy are also setting up shop selling everything from aspirin to vitamins. Generally, he said, organisers were getting very excited about this year’s Jersey Live. ‘We are really excited. We have a really good team here and we’re getting ready for a great weekend,’ he said. Mr Le Sueur added that there is a typing error on the tickets which states that coaches leave St Helier from 10.30 am. The first coach actually departs at 11.30 am for a 12 pm kick off in Trinity. Other bands performing at the Royal Jersey Showground include The Fratellis, The Twang, the Rakes, Audio Bullys, Air Traffic, Benny the Moth and the Super Furry Animals.
