Newtel finds London partner

Telecoms services company Hutchison Team Telecom has been picked to provide front-line support and maintenance services for Newtel’s two network operation centres in London’s Docklands.

Hutchison Team Telecom will operate a 24-hour support contact centre, provide on-call engineering services and full-time administrative support for the centres, which operate the company’s network infrastructure between the Channel Islands and London.

Under the agreement, Hutchison Team Telecom will respond within two hours and resolve problems within four.

Earlier this year, Newtel quadrupled the capacity of its telecoms network between the Channel Islands and London, upgrading systems in response to customer demand.
