Transport and Technical Services have received a number of complaints about speeding between Martello Stores and St Andrew’s Road. The department has also been notified about problems with illegal parking. It is proposed to designate six parking spaces as one-hour paycard spaces that will form a chicane, helping to reduce the speed of vehicles driving up the hill. Ross Fearnley, assistant engineer at Transport, said that the department had been in consultation with the residents and would start work within two weeks.
