Meanwhile the Jersey shooters also won the Dominion prize for the best overseas-based shooting team and were fifth in Saturday’s Mackinnon team match, behind England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales but ahead of both Canada and Guernsey.

Individually in the Queen’s final Colin Mallett finished 47th with 285 points.

David Le Quesne scored 283 ahead of Jersey’s Andrew Le Cheminant.

The Army’s J Lewis top-scored with 293 points.
