Over 80 professionals working with children and adolescents, parents, members of the honorary police and cha-rity representatives attended a meeting at The Bridge community centre. Organiser Philip Le Claire, from Autism Jersey, told the audience it was a true show of strength revealing that people are not willing to tolerate bullying and the misery it causes. Among the speakers was community paediatrician Dr Mark Jones, who said figures in the ‘A Picture of Health’ survey showed 25 per cent of those aged between 10 and 15 years interviewed in the Island reported being bullied. Four per cent said they had been bullied often or very often.
