Minister’s U-turn on JCG sale

The decision has been hailed as a ‘victory for common sense’ by Grouville Constable Dan Murphy , chairman of the Corporate Services Scrutiny sub-panel set up to look into the deal to sell the site. And it is likely that the invitation to tender will be advertised in the UK as well as locally. The Senator’s move comes after the panel yesterday asked him to consider putting the deal out to tender. But the decision could have cost implications as compensation may have to be paid to the original preferred developer Grange Developments.
