Capt Le Page lives in Spain where he is working for the Anglican Churches on the Costa del Sol, about an hour’s drive from Gibraltar. When Capt Le Page learned that former banker Trevor Collenette was being held with three others on suspicion of smuggling £8 million of cocaine in a yacht they had delivered from St Lucia, he contacted Steve Hunt who is among those heading a campaign protesting his innocence. The Dean of Gibraltar has visited Mr Collenette and is seeking permission for Capt Le Page to visit him.
