Arrivals figures are on the up

Figures issued by the Economic Development department show overall arrivals at the Island’s ports were up by more than 25,000 to over 393,000 from January to May. Air arrivals from the UK were up 6.3% or over 15,000 to 240,249 with inter-island air travel up by about 8% to over 30,000. Sea arrivals were boosted by HDFerries starting a new car ferry service to Guernsey and St Malo. The numbers rose by over 15% from the continent (76,340) and nearly 20% on inter-island services (14,993).
