Logo designers aim to prove a point

Design companies were angered that the £240,000 contract to create a new Jersey brand was contracted out to a UK company. They said that the talent existed locally to do the job, and that local companies would have been able to suggest words which better described Jersey than ‘Life Enriching’. Now they have clubbed together to organise an exhibition which they say will prove their point – and it will include alternatives to Corporate Edge’s golden bird logo. John Henwood, the president of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in Jersey, today issued a statement on behalf of the industry announcing the exhibition.
