Mr Taylor allegedly failed to let the department know how many staff he employed for the second half of 2006 within 15 days of 31 December. Relief Magistrate Graham Boxall ordered his arrest with a bail option of £100. Contacted by the JEP, Mr Taylor said that he had not known he was due in court and would contact the department immediately. He added that he had not lived at the address on the ‘charge sheet’, which is presented to the court, for a number of years. Mr Taylor’s generosity and support for charitable causes is well known, and only last Saturday the JEP reported that he had paid for Islander Lee O’Brien, who is suffering from terminal cancer, to go to the FA Cup Final to see his beloved Chelsea play.
