The Enterprise Award-winning company – who were refused permission to build in field 571 in Grouville seven months ago – have applied to build in a field next door to their rivals Royal Bay Oysters. Company director Chris Le Masurier says that the new site, field 545A on Rue de la Sente Maillard, Grouville, will make life easier for the company who export over 500 tonnes of oysters per year. ‘It’s very important for us,’ he said. ‘At the moment we are driving five miles from our shed to the site down on the beach working in three different sites. We want to have it all under one roof.’
