Sean Patrick O’Shea (27) was told that because of his ‘appalling record’ and serious drug problem, the court had no choice but to send him to prison for 33 months. Crown Advocate Sarah Fitz, prosecuting, said that O’Shea was a ‘prolific offender’ with a substantial criminal record. ‘He has an appalling record and is once more before this court for offences relating to his drug use,’ she said. ‘He is at high risk of reoffending and a non-custodial sentence would have a high risk of failure.’
