The Smokin’ Vincents, who officially launched their single What Am I Gonna Do? on Monday in front of the whole school, are appealing for Islanders to get behind them and help them to chart success. After just two days, the song reached number one in the Coca-Cola GB online pop charts, which is based on giving the band a ‘thumbs up’ rating for their video, and number six worldwide. Last night the band heard that the record company Awal wanted to sign them. Awal UK, who have Opera Babes among the artists on their books, have been delivering a wide range of music to iTunes since 2004 and will be releasing What Am I Gonna Do? as a single on 9 April.
