Jersey Tourism have submitted plans – after their first scheme was rejected last year – for a booth on the junction with Don Street to give out information about upcoming events, ticket sales and even weather updates. Project manager Kevin Lemasney said that the kiosk, which has been designed by Naish Waddington Architects, will complement the resources at the new tourism office on the Island site. ‘The first plan failed and the department wanted us to come up with something smaller and more iconic. This one is very, very striking,’ he said.
