The panel concludes that a partial sale to a major player would give Jersey Telecom access to economies of scale that would be denied to the company if it was to remain wholly owned by the States. Meanwhile, the panel could press for a delay in the proposed timetable for the sell-off. Treasury Minister Terry Le Sueur is to ask the States to make a decision in April but the panel believes there are too many issues to resolve and the timescale is too short.
