The Chamber has been campaigning for some time to get Economic Development to be more flexible in its regulation of competition for small businesses.
But at the end of last year Economic Development Minister Philip Ozouf announced that having considered the JCRA’s advice there was not sufficient evidence as yet to assess the burden or justify exemptions for small businesses, nor to introduce the kind of group exemptions common in the European Union.
