Senior Amicus representative Tim Langlois says that Treasury Minister Terry Le Sueur ‘had his agenda panned out long ago’ and would merely pay lip service to the scrutiny process looking at the sale of the States-owned utility. ‘You can give experts a remit to tell you anything. But one thing is for certain – the advisers are sure to make many, many millions of pounds out of this sale,’ said Mr Langlois. He added that if the sale went ahead, it would be the worst possible outcome. ‘There will be no long-term benefit for the customer, and the employees and ultimately the States will be the prime losers,’ he said.
