Of 36,000 UK organisations accredited with Investors in People, only 121 achieved Profile level, and only 18 are schools. Le Rocquier is the first organisation in Jersey to receive the Profile level and the first ever organisation to achieve this in their first Investors in People assessment. ‘I am a very proud Chief Minister this morning,’ Senator Walker said. ‘Le Rocquier is a tremendous example of what can be achieved. It is the only school in Jersey to get this award – what a fantastic achievement this is.’ At this morning’s awards ceremony Education Minister Mike Vibert told the students: ‘I am very proud to be here today. You have a school and staff to be proud of and you have achieved such a lot in such a small time. ‘A school does not get an award like this lightly. It is very rare that any organisation, especially a school, will get such a high achievement, so this really is something to be proud of.’ Richard Rolfe said that it was a privilege to be the head teacher. ‘We have a wonderful group of students and a fantastic staff,’ he said. ‘The Profile award is not just an assessment of current status, it represents a blueprint for future action.’
