Prince Charles has responded to a request made in July by the trust’s Coastline Campaign chairman Mike Stentiford to consider an offer of support for their recently launched Coastline Campaign by becoming the trust’s patron. A letter of acceptance was received by the trust in January in which it was said that the Prince would be delighted to accept. Mr Stentiford said today he knew that he spoke on behalf of the entire trust membership, and all those who cared so passionately about their natural environment and priceless heritage, that confirmation of patronage by the Prince of Wales offered the finest endorsement possible for the aims and constant endeavours of the National Trust for Jersey. ‘I cannot think of a finer or more encouraging way of starting our Coastline Campaign in 2007,’ he said.
