Inquest finding on crash deaths

The inquest into the deaths of Bruno Teixeira (32) and Domingos da Encarnacao (28) was opened and adjourned so that the bodies could be released to their families for burial. Deputy Viscount Peter de Gruchy said that post-mortems carried out by Home Office pathologist Dr Guyan Fernando revealed that their deaths had been due to multiple injuries. The men were passengers in a red Vauxhall Astra Sport carrying four other men when the vehicle struck pillars of a house near Grouville Parish Hall just before 3 am on Monday 22 January. Three other male passengers in the car were injured. Evidence Giving evidence at the inquest, senior investigating officer Det Insp Chris Beechey said that Mr Teixeira was pronounced dead at the scene and Mr da Encarnacao was pronounced dead at the Accident and Emergency Department at the General Hospital.
