And Tantivy managing director Chris Lewis said everybody at his company was ‘devastated’ by the decision made by Transport Minister Guy de Faye to choose Connex rather than allow his firm to continue providing school buses. ‘After operating the school contract for 25 years it was very hard to see it go. Many of our loyal, experienced and hard-working staff have had to be made redundant as a consequence. Some, I am relieved to learn, have found work elsewhere. Some, sadly, have not,’ said Mr Lewis.
