Godel, at Level 3, renewed her partnership with ladies’ squad coach Jane Whetnall, who was delighted with her student’s progress since the last training camp in June.
Smale, at Level 2, also impressed his coaches with his progress, despite a fall on the bar when his enthusiasm got the better of him.
Miles has stepped in to the European squad at the last minute as Douglas Major has had to withdraw from the team because of illness.
Miles coped extremely well with this new experience.
His particular special needs means he finds it difficult to cope with new situations and unfamiliar people, but he came through the weekend with flying colours and produced some of his best gymnastics.
