BOWLS:John Lowery won the men's singles and, with Thomas Greechan, the pairs title in the CI Bowls finals held at Grainville at the weekend and the two players will now compete in Belfast, at the British Isles Men's Indoor championships in March.

Alison Camacho beat Sarnian Alison Merrien in the Ladies singles, and Lindsey Greechan, Gina Le Long and Mavis Le Marquand won the triples, all four will travel to Prestwick, Scotland, in March, to compete in the British Isles Ladies Indoor championships.

VOLLEYBALL: Results of the Insurance Corporation league matches played yesterday are: Ladies: Casa Madeira Panthers 3, Eastern 0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-23).

Mens: Crills Sandkickers One 3, Crills Sandkickers Two 0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-13); Bank of Scotland International Astros 3, Jacksons Mitsubishi Island Ladies 0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-16).

Mixed: Bank of Scotland 2, Jersey Post 0 (25-22, 25-21); D'Oh 2, Peter Green Builders 1 (19-25, 25-21, 15-13).

GOLF: The winner of the Demi Golf Society's January medal competition was Jeff Wright who returned a net score of 60 off a 20 handicap on Saturday.

BADMINTON: Jersey Badminton Association Junior Tom Gibbs returned from the Sussex U15 Junior challenge tournament with a gold medal in the Grade IV U15 boys singles competition.

Alex Hutchins and Ben Watson both won bronze in the same category while in the U15 Grade III competition James Le Moignan also returned with a bronze medal.

HOCKEY: The results of matches played in the Men's Investec Hockey League on Saturday are: Division I: OV Convicts 3, JHC Gobis 5; Hautlieu HC 3, JHC Ormers 7; OV Victims 3, JHC Thornbacks 3.

MOUNTAIN BIKES: Kieron Mills was again victorious in the Elite class in race four of the CCC Mark Pickford's Cycle Shop winter series held at Mont Rossignol yesterday.

The Sport class winner was Gary Osbourne, Bruce Dingle won the Veteran class, Caroline Davies was the winner in the Ladies class and in the Schoolboy category Rhys Hidrio was first.

HOCKEY: The women competed for the Hervé Shield yesterday, with the Jersey Ladies team winning overall, with 11 points.

RWB were second with ten; Quackers were third with eight points and Nomads finished fourth with three points.

GOLF: January Monthly Medal competition winner at St Clement's GC yesterday was Jean Rebours who finished with a nett 54 off 21.

Jimmy (JW) Brown was second with nett 61 off 17 and Peter Van der Niet finished third with a nett 62 off 14.

Meanwhile, the winner of the 2004 Monthly Medal Cup competition was Alan Allison with a nett 65 off 21.

SHOOTING: John de la Haye was again the High Gun and Class A winner in the Crabbé Clay Pigeon Club's 50-bird sporting yesterday, finishing with a score of 48 ex 50.

Willie Le Marquand won the B class with 35 and Robert Wilson and James Angus tied for the C class win with 34 ex 50.

GOLF: Winners of the Royal Jersey Mary Ann Trophy 2005 were Fulton Cheung and Will Taylor who scored 47 points.

Alex Milligan and Tim Herbert were second on countback, with 46, ahead of Brian Marr and John Le Gros.

MOTORCYCLE TRIALS: A total of £500 was raised for the Jersey Asia Relief appeal by members of the Jersey Classic and Modern Trials Club at yesterday's event.

Trial results: A route Mac du Feu; B route Graham du Feu; C route Andy Bellée; Pre 65 Archie du Feu; Junior A Adam Le Cheminant; Junior B Alex Mitchinson.

GOLF: John, Adam and Denny Marshall were the winners of the La Moye GC Two scores from Three Stableford competition played yesterday.

They finished with a total of 78 points.
