A meeting has been arranged for next week for all Jersey- and Guernsey-based unsecured creditors of the ferry firm which was placed into administration by a French court in October. One of the organisers, Michael Cotillard of Tantivy Blue Coach Tours, says that the claims of smaller creditors have been met with little sympathy by the French administrator.’This is an opportunity for all those businesses in both islands to meet and discuss how the sums owed to them by Emeraude might be repaid.
We shall have legal representation at the meeting to advise us on what courses of action there are to be pursued,’ he said. The meeting is at the Pomme d’Or Hotel next Tuesday at 11 am.
