Flybe route bid may lead to fare price war

And there will be more competition on both the Manchester and Southampton routes, with passengers likely to benefit from lower fares on both.Flybe announced today that it is to apply for a Jersey-to-Guernsey route licence to both Jersey’s Economic Development Committee and Guernsey’s Transport Board.

And it will start selling tickets immediately if it is granted a licence to compete.Inter-island travellers can almost certainly look forward to a price war as Flybe seeks to establish itself on a route that has until recently been the monopoly preserve of Guernsey States-owned Aurigny.
