The trust, which would have an independent chairman and majority of members, would have an initial budget of £100,000 to become established.Sitting on the trust would also be a representative from Policy and Resources, who lodged the proposition, and two of the members would be non-committee members selected by Education and Home Affairs.The proposal to set up a trust has followed research by working parties, the results of which identified a need to tackle the issue of racial and other forms of discrimination before they became more of a serious problem.
