The Bath Street cinema, which admitted last year that its 51-year presence in the Island was under threat, has not quite given up the fight. It said that the decision to cut prices was an effort to hold onto its share of the local market.Regional manager Alison McCaig said: ‘The arrival of Cineworld has affected admissions to a very large extent and we are keen to protect the business that we have in Jersey, and to steal it back from Cineworld.

Hopefully, we will see some improvement over the summer period.’
