Guernsey’s haul of gold grew to 33 compared to Jersey’s 31, but Jersey had more overall medals than the hosts.With 35 silver and 29 bronze medals, the Jersey team had collected nine more silvers but three fewer bronzes than the Sarnians to stand at 95 in total, compared to Guernsey’s 91.Guernsey’s gold medal tally increased by three as a result of this morning’s half-marathon, in which Alan Rowe and Penny Buckingham took individual gold and the island’s women team gold.
