While observers are still asking whether the Channel Islanders jumped or were pushed, a ‘sweetener’ gave both Jersey and Guernsey places of their own in the British singles, pairs, triples, fours and under 25 singles events.Jersey will make a strong challenge, with JBC’s Lee Nixon and John Lowery meeting Welsh champion John Evans, and England U25 champion Simon Gilbert in the senior and junior singles quarter finals tomorrow.Ken McNeil and Nixon are seeded through to the semi finals of the pairs, as are Nixon’s quartet in the fours, but Jock Wilkins, John Cabot and Danny Le Marquand meet a young Welsh trio on Monday in the quarter final of the triples.
