President Donald Trump fumbled the name of Apple’s Tim Cook during a meeting at the White House, calling him “Tim Apple”.
The CEO was sat next to Trump during an American Workforce Policy Advisory Board meeting on Wednesday.
Trump turned to look at him as he said: “We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple.”
Some poked fun at the president’s own company name, with @Hisler420 tweeting: “He just thinks everyone names their company after themselves like he did.”
User @imgonzy applied the same logic to Apple’s founder Steve Jobs, writing: “Steve Mac is rolling in his grave rn.”
Others pointed out this wasn’t the first time Trump had fluffed the name of a CEO, referring to when he called Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson “Marillyn Lockheed”.
