The big switch-on of Oxford Street’s Christmas lights in central London was a little different this year – there was no celebrity doing the honours.
But the lack of star power didn’t dim the display above the capital’s central shopping street, with hundreds of people turning out to catch an early glimpse of this year’s theme.
