Reds lose league lead in narrow Yorkshire clash

Doncaster Knights fly-half Sam Olver sealed the win for the South Yorkshire side just minutes after Reds’ debutant Tom Pittman leveled, with both teams being heavily called out by the referee’s whistle.

Harvey Biljon’s injury-hit side came back from a poor penalty-ridden start through tries from No.8 Guy Thompson, hooker Eoghan Clarke and wing Ryan Olowofela.

But despite going from a 15-0 deficit after the first quarter of an hour to be 21-21, Knights’ showed their mettle to ground out the win in the final few minutes and leaving Reds’ a whisker short in their toughest test of the season so far.
